I Know a Guy Podcast
I know a guy who used to measure his worth by how busy he was.
I know a guy who could quote Scripture but couldn’t tell you what he was feeling.
I know a guy who lost his temper, lost his marriage, and almost lost himself trying to hold it all together.
Yeah…that guy was me.
Do you know a guy like that? Or maybe…you are that guy.
This is I Know a Guy, a podcast for those guys who need a place to be honest, to laugh a little, maybe cry a little, and remember who you really are.
I’m Steve Cummings, and this podcast is an outgrowth of a ministry called Bringing Kingdom, where we walk with men one conversation, one connection, and one community at a time.
If you know a guy who needs this conversation - send him this episode.
And if that guy is you, I know a guy who’d love to talk with you.
That guy…is me.
Visit BringingKingdom.org/talk to start your own conversation, and remember - when men live loved, the Kingdom shows up.
Thanks for listening to I Know a Guy.

If you’ve ever wondered why your breakthrough hasn’t come yet, today is the episode you need. We unpack the moment Phil Conners steps into his calling—and why purpose is often the key that unlocks the next season of your life.
Today on I know a Guy, we will see how Phil finally breaks the loop—and it’s not because he gets perfect. It’s because he steps into purpose. He starts living to bless others instead of trying to save himself.
Breakthrough often happens when calling replaces self-preservation.
If you’ve been waiting for your next season to open up, today’s episode will speak directly to you.

Question: What if God is more interested in who you’re becoming than what you’re doing?
Day 4 of our series on the movie, "Groundhog Day," is where everything shifts. Phil doesn’t break the loop by doing more—he breaks it by becoming someone new.
That’s the heart of identity transformation. God changes who we are before He changes what we do.
If you’re hungry for growth or ready for your heart to catch up with who God says you are, today’s episode is for you!

What if the most frustrating part of your life is actually God’s mercy?
In the movie with Bill Murray, Groundhog Day, Phil wakes up to the same day over and over. And it feels like punishment… but it’s actually grace.
Lamentations says His mercies are new every morning. Meaning:
God gives you another shot to become who He created you to be.
You’re not stuck because God is mad. You’re in training because He’s committed.
Join me, Steve Cummings for I Know a Guy.

This week on I Know a Guy from Bringing Kingdom, we’re diving into the spiritual layers inside Bill Murray’s "Groundhog Day."
Day 1 tackles a big one: Why do we keep repeating the same patterns? The same frustrations? The same emotional loops?
In the movie, Phil isn’t stuck because of the day—he’s stuck because of his identity. And that’s the same place where many of us get trapped.
If you feel like your life keeps circling back to the same battles, today’s episode is going to open your eyes.
